My name is Jia (She/Her/Hers) and I hold a PhD in Gender and Cultural Studies from the University of Sydney. I am a committed feminist researcher dedicated to producing contextualised knowledge in Media Studies, Cultural Studies, and Gender Studies. My academic journey is shaped by my interdisciplinary education background and across board experience from China to Australia.

I have extensive experiences in working as a casual staff in Australian universities, including unit coordinating, lecturing and tutoring, research assistance, and student services. I am a union member and care about others who also go through the precarity in academia.
